I am a contract lecturer in mathematics at Florida State University (international program in Florence), and an academic tutor for the Master’s in Bioinformatics and Data Science at the University of Siena.

Previously, until November 2025, I was a postdoctoral researcher (assegnista di ricerca) in numerical analysis at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science Ulisse Dini of the University of Florence, Italy, working under the supervision of Prof. Alessandra Sestini.

I received my PhD in mathematics in March 2025 through a cotutelle program between the University of Florence and Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen, graduating summa cum laude under the supervision of Prof. Alessandra Sestini (Florence) and Prof. Dr. Oleg Davydov (Gießen, Germany). My dissertation addresses two fundamental challenges in meshless numerical methods: robust node generation for complex domains, including 3D CAD geometries, and high-order numerical integration on scattered nodes.

More information about my academic journey is available in my CV.

Research interests

  • Isogeometric Analysis combined with the Boundary Element Method (IgA-BEM)
  • High-order quadrature formulas on scattered (unstructured) nodes
  • Meshless domain discretization of 3D CAD geometries. I am the developer of NodeGenLib, a C++ library for node generation using the advancing front method
  • Stable meshless schemes for advection-dominated PDEs
  • High-performance and parallel computing (HPC)
